2 c sugar
2 1/2 c Flour
1/2 t Salt
1 t baking soda
1 c butter
1 c water
4 T cocoa
1/2 c buttermilk
1 t vanilla
2 eggs
Frosting:
1/2 c butter
6 T buttermilk
4 T cocoa
1 t vanilla
4c or 1 lbs powder sugar
For cake: mix sugar, flour, salt, soda in bowl and set aside. In sauce pan mix butter, water, cocoa. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Mix dry ingredients, with cocoa mixture, buttermilk, vanilla, and eggs.
Pour into greased sheet pan. Bake 350 for 15-20 min.
Frosting:
Bring to a boil: butter, buttermilk, and cocoa.Remove from heat Add powder sugar and vanilla.
Frost cake while cake and frosting are still warm.
